I tapped the clutch with a stick while the car was running and it
kicked right in......so the mechanic and I figure that the compressor is bad ...its also making noise....:(
so now ...another $260 for a AC delco compressor and another $200 to flush and fill again.....
I am totally spent....
I also need 4 new tires.....
car goes in the shop................for the 4th time

Have you considered replacing the A/C with an aftermarket set up?
I don't use mine (pulled it out), but as I understand it these cars do not have the most reliable A/C systems and an aftermarket unit may be the most practical choice.
