I know I can buy these online but anyone know If I can purchase these from a local parts house, and the technical term for them to use to look them up?
You use to be able to get them in the Dorman HELP blister packs, but I'm pretty sure they've been discontinued.
Most cars stopped using the old style headlight adjusters in the mid 70's, when they switched to the square sealed beam headlamps. The 82 Corvette was about the last car to use the old style adjusters.
67 and earlier Corvettes, as well as most other 4 lamp pre 70 GM cars, used a similar adjuster, but with a "hook" on the top of them. AUVECO still offers the earlier style adjuster, and you can use them by cutting off the hook. I would imagine that it could be difficult to find a local AUVECO dealer, who stocked the adjusters though, as there just isn't much demand for them anymore.
In the end, you're probably going to do just as well getting the correct ones from a Corvette vendor.
