Default Driver side dash removal

Trying to get out the cluster dash pad on the drivers side , but appears to be stuck on the taco side , undone steering column and all the screws around the top and down the side but still wont come out any suggestions.

Is there any screws on the bottom that would be holding in the right side or would that be the cable on the taco ?

Trying to get to the vacuum solenoid behind the taco.

Did you remove the bracket holding the column to the firewall and loosen the shaft at the steering gear in the engine bay. You should be able to pull the column out about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch allowing you to lower it. At that point it should slide forward and out.

Haven't done that yet , it does seem like the column isn't going down enough for me to get it out , so I will try what you suggested.
Thanks

When I removed my dash last year for various repairs everything I read said remove the column. At first I was thinking that was extreme but then I considered the people offering the info, Dub, and Willcox to name a few are a heck of a lot smarter than me and do this stuff repeatedly. I did remove the column, very easy to do and everything else was a breeze with no broken pieces, cuts, scrapes, or aggrevation. If I remember correctly Willcox has detailed instructions on exactly how to remove this panel and the order of how to go about it.

Hi F69,
You say you remove the screws on the 'side' ….. did you get the screws on BOTH sides?
The tach cable is very short. It can often seem to hold the dash pad in place. You might want to disconnect the cable at the distributor to give you more slack.
If the dash harness is in the 2 clips that secure it running over the top of the speedometer and tachometer reach in from the top (under the upper dash pad) and loosen them… that might help.
The lower right corner of the dash pad sits on a small 'tab' on the corner of the shifter console… lift the dash pad up slightly to release that.
After that ?
Regards,
Alan
