won't release installed new clutch stage 2, suppose to have stronger clamping or holding power but will not release tried longer release bearing was way to long. any ideas 1969 350 4speed
checked disc installed ok

checked new pressure plate and old for any difference in for size height distance comparison from bellhousing to diaphragm
old was 2.3 from front face of bellhousing
new was 2.5 so it to me would be closer

Wow wish I had read this before I did my clutch last year. Guess what clutch I used? Based on a earlier swap using that brand back in the 80's
