Door Sound and Vapor Barriers? Did you notice much difference in the before/after? Thanks, I do not have them installed on my 72 but have been thinking about doing that.

My vapor barriers are still on my '72. I removed a door panel to repair a door lock rod and put the barrier back on. I figured since they installed it at the factory, there must be a good reason for it. Seeing as the door panels have some fiberboard in them, the barrier is a good idea.

PROPERLY installed plastic vapor barriers are a MUST...

AS for adding another layer to stop sound...it surely can not hurt. I do the sound deadening on the doors when I do the interior.

Sound control is minimal but the draft in the winter is very noticeable on cold days. I drive my 82 CFI 9 months out of the year and I had mine out to fix the power door lock pigtail. That cool draft on your leg and shoulder is noticeable big time at highway speeds.
