Big block has rough idle. Found gas dripping down primary, at idle, onto the throttle blades. Carb rebuilt last year and has been running great until now. I'm assuming a gasket has let go? Any ideas? Model is 4160.
Even with a blown power valve, fuel will not drip from the boosters at idle. There's not enough pressure differential in the booster for that to happen. It will run down the vacuum port in the PV depression and drip without any external clues.
Unless you fiddled with the float, the level isn't likely to have changed. You have debris in the needle/seat assembly or your float is sinking.
Fixed it!! Took the primary bowl off and cleaned everything. Put it back on and it's running great again. No fuel dripping, good idle. You we're all right. I assume it was trash in the needle/seat.
Thanks to all.
