Default Missing e-brake tabs, need to repair

my '71 project is missing the tabs on each side closest to the rear brakes. perhaps they deteriorated and were ground off at some point. I've purchased tabs that I can bolt on. Question is, location wise is there a rule of thumb or specific point on each rear outside rail where I should mount them? Should they be tight from the under the frame point out to the outer rail tab? Currently the cables are zip tied on , both sides, and I have zero brakes. Hoping the location is a common sense thing since I don't have a diagram of exact positioning. Thanks for any suggestions.

Usually on top the the arm is a common modification for wheel clearance. Just make sure it is at the right spot front to back so the mounting portion of the cable matches the location.

Thanks, had not thought about the top of the rail but makes sense. I will change wheels at some point so worth noting. Sounds like as long as I use all the sheathed cable between the two rear mounting points, I should be good to go on adjusting the cable tension and internals on the brakes.
