Default Catheadlight Electric headlight Actuators

Hi guys
Having the same old complaint, leaky headlight actuators. I have been troubleshooting a vacuum leak in my headlight circuit for some time now, enough that it affects my idle when my lights are on. I tracked it down to an actuator leak. Ordered two new actuators from Corvette depo here in Canada. I installed the actuators and they leak worst than my old ones, one headlight wouldn't open at all. Sent a couple of e-mails to the supplier about returning the actuators for replacements, but as of yet they haven't returned my mail. Anyway, maybe it's time to get rid of the vacuum system all together. Has anyone ever heard of Catheadlight electric headlight actuators, if so what was your experience.

Thanks in advance
Clyde

The usual problem is a leaking relay valve.

There's a thread somewhere about doing it for half that cost. IIRC the ebay guy jacked his ideas from a member here...

I found a thread on here and repaired my relays, the control diaphragms are good, I just soaked the dog bone in break fluid for a few hours and those now seal fine.
Thanks

Default electric worked for me!

That electric system worked for me! it was also a clean install. I guess I could have shopped around and made my own system but Frankly I was doing a frame off resto Mod and had too much going on at the time. buying the system was a better option for me. BTW car was running for other reason. not to run headlights!!.. Just before someone points that out!! LOL!!

Those are simply Mazda miata headlight motors packaged with the bracket. You cab get the brackets from a forum member and the motors for about 25 each. It's a pretty simple install. Search for electric headlight conversion. There is a detailed how to.

Yep...bought some brackets from a guy here- copied them- and now is selling them on eBay... at one point was using my wiring diagram...

Also said he designed the Cougar brackets- copied them as well.

Posted here a couple times but then got banned...what a tool

BTW- I have a PDF on how to do the install. Shoot me an email and I'll send a copy to you. Ford probe motors and Maita-

I just went the Richard454 route and did the whole headlight set up for under 200.
Thanks again Richard!

Thanks guys
Appreciate all the help, I just purchased a set from e-bay, not sure who designed them, but with all the projects I have on the go now and summer just around the courner, I really don't have the time to fab this stuff up. Although it looks like a project I would really enjoy.
