Default Urethane Bushing Recomendations

Hi guys, I guess this is my first post in the wild after reading for a while.

I need to replace the bushings in the suspension of my 81. The current ones are severely dry rotted to the point I haven't driven the car since I discovered the rot. I'm pretty familiar with what is required to replace the bushings and I have decided to go with urethane.

Having said that, I haven't found much about the quality of the kits on the market. Does anyone have Recomendations for a kit? Do most guys tend to replace the hardware at this point too since the parts are free of the car? Recomendations on quality sources there too?

Thank you, hopefully this wasn't too long winded.

I used " prothane suspension " when I replaced my trailing arm bushings. Everything went back together a lot tighter

Cool thanks! Did you replace your hardware while it was out? It seems like I should.

I didn't replace any hardware, but I wish I had replaced the shims with stainless. I just wanted to get it on the road .

I used an Energy Suspension full car kit. Seemed decent and was very complete for a good price. Only been a few months and a few thousand kms since I did it though.

I used Prothane on my front suspension 3 years ago and its holding up but I am starting to see a little deformation on some of the control arm bushings. I do run my car hard and the roads are horrible in NJ. With that said I think energy suspensions kit is going to be used on my rear suspension. Costs a little more but the few bushing I have from them have a better quality look and I'm hoping more of a spring back quality than the Prothane bushings. They appear to crush a bit and not spring back the original shape. Although as stated, just a tiny bit with no ill effects so far.
