What sizes of vacuum lines will I be needing in the engine bay for my 82? So far I see they have three sizes. 1/4 6mm,5/16 8mm,and 3/8 10mm. Of these are the only sizes I need how much feet would you recommend per size?
I...personally...use the hose right off the spool and take one hose off at a time and replace it.
I am watchful for any special vacuum hoses with special molded ends on them....often times trying to save the end if it is still in good condition and then splicing in fresh hose with vacuum fittings.
I have no clue on what else you may need because I can not see what you have going on with no photo(s).
The factory Hoses were Color Coded. You can buy replacement Hose Kits with or with out the Color Coding. The Hose diagrams that are available are all Color Coded. Just buy a Color Coded Kit and be happy.
Well could you give me a link to one? Dub I don't have any hoses at all! Lol. Well except some coming off the vacuum canister and that's it. I'm not worried about correctness looks. I just want to get the hoses on there so I can start it finally.... (Hopefully). I just want to get pointed in the right direction. That silicon one is universal for all c3's I really don't like that. But I found this and I think I will go this route cause it is actually more year specific.
YES...not knowing because you did not write in your original thread that you had NO vacuum hoses to go by...my response was what it was because I did not know.
BUT...YES....getting a hose kit that is for the car specifically would be better and there may also be vacuum hose kits for your emissions and HVAC.
