Default Glass T-Top refinishing

Is there any way to refinish the t tops on my vette? The ones I have a obivously not a matching set. One is just a shade different then the other. The have the mirror finish and I was wondering if there is anything I can do?

If they are MIRRORED glass tops...where you can see though them...there is nothing you can do.

Yea that's what they are. Thanks for the reply. I wonder what the process they use to mirror them in the first place.

Don't know if this would help, but here in HOT SUNNY FL we would add window tint to our T Tops. Not on vettes, but they came dark tinted, just not dark enough.

Do 'Google' search....but I seriously doubt that you can due a mirror finish that you can see through.

I know you can make a mirror...but I do not think it is so you can see through it like your T-tops are.

Could paint them black or body color. Both match then and look good. An auto body place could do it with a nice color match.

NO! And NOT have it last. 'minitech' must not be aware that your tops are mirrored tops...and NOT fiberglass tops that can be painted. Your thread kinda threw me because the word 'glass' can be taken two different ways which is why I had to understand what you meant. 'Glass' is often times used to describe 'fiberglass' also.

Not that it helps the color but I had my windshield and glass tops coated with a clear heat reflecting ceramic film, what a huge difference when driving.

I think it was a lumbar product, most tint shops have it but it's tough to work with so some won't do it. I did all the glass in my ford edge sport and it made a huge difference.

It's just a type of window tint. They were pretty common the last time I had a car's windows tinted; check with your local tint guys.

If You look in the corner of the Glass You should see who made the Glass. The PPG ones were considered the best, and they came on the late C3's. You might keep an eye out on the for sale page on this sight as well as the local Craigs List. Sooner or later You will come up with a Match. Just a stupid question, are You sure somebody hasn't put that cheap window tint film on one of the Tops ?

Well I'm not sure if someone did or not but. But to me it just looks like one of the tops came from a different year car

I have had to change the original LOF BLUE tops due to the exterior mirror changed and the BLUE tint from the inside actually faded out and was no longer there.

Another LOF BLUE top that matched....so from the outside it matched and from the inside the blue tint matched.

Here is a couple pics as you can tell the one on the left is more mirror and the other is more bluish.
