Default Corvette doors

I have a friend who needs new doors for his 70 vette and I have a 77 parts car. He is in Arizona and I am in Nevada. I want to make sure they will work before I send them to him. Anybody have a good answer. Thanks Don

As long as he has a coupe the doors will work just fine.

The weatherstrip is the same, the basic door panel is the same, the glass and all the channels are the same as is the skin.

FWIW: send your 77 door key when you ship. His key is not likely to work on your doors.

I'd like to put the unique '68 doors on my '74 coupe, I suspect the would fit? I already plan to use early '68 door panels for the low profile door pulls.

That would be different for sure and they should fit.

The internals on the 68 door is different and I'm not sure I'd do that. The wipes on the outer part of the door are way different and way more expensive to replace. The push button system was a one year only and they are kind of a pain to work on let alone get parts if something should break.

10-4 Wilcox. I will pass on getting '69 doors, but will be hitting you up for some '68 door panels sooner or later, I have arthritis in my left hip, and the door pulls(and remote mirror control-that's going bye-bye as well) are right where my knee wants to be when I stretch my leg back and forth while driving.

68 panels on your car would not fit due to the difference in the inner wipe. I'm not sure a conversion could be done successfully I've never attempted it. But the inner wipe and the upper portion of the door panel is way different than what you already have.

You might just want remove the remote and if you have deluxe trim just replace the upper metal trim and if not then you'd be stuck with replacing the entire panel with one from your year.

I want to change interior colors anyway, and my panels are shot. This is way down the road, need paint and body first.
