jim's site helped , reached another roadblock.

to get the yolk back on it has to bend 90 degrees , do i have to unbolt the steering column from the engine compartment? or brute force it in?

Managed to jack the front end up and turn the yolk 90 degrees and the upper yolk slid right in , now I just got to put everything back together

Got it back together and couldn't figure out where this goes. Can't find it on jim Shea's diagrams.

looks like the key buzzer switch. it goes in a slot under the ignition lock cylinder. look in jim's papers titled Std Column 69-79 Disassembly & Repair Papers #1. be careful not to drop it down inside the column.
