Well I got the transition thing sorted out! I checked the spec on this carb and it calls for a #31 squirter in the secondaries. This carb has a #25. I stepped up to 28, big improvement. Switched to the #31,.... strap in!
It's 99% at that "FI" feel! I am going to install a new set of plugs and start tweaking the jets now! Thanks for all the help! (For those that helped.)
Yeah this double pumper will never work!

That's really awesome that you got it figured out.
I have an 'off-idle stumble' as well as a slight flat spot in the middle of my RPM range that I never have bothered to tinker with. My car is fast as ***** already, so it hasn't made the priority list. Plus, I plan on replacing my Winter's LT-1 intake with a RPM Air-Gap, as well as degreeing my cam, in the forseeable future. I'd hate to get it running PERFECT then change everything around. For whatever sense that makes.
I'm running a QuickFuel 650 Annular Booster DP and have really enjoyed it. These "Double Pump isn't meant for the street" discussions amuse me.
My feelings:
Loud exhaust systems aren't meant for the street. (Hooker/STS here)
Cars without airbags are unsafe as hell. Ditto cars without ABS. (all of us)
My camshaft wasn't meant for the street. (Uber-lumpy 0.590 Comp solid roller on a 350)
Not sure what the manual brakes on my car were meant for, but they can be a bear. Same with the manual steering. (me again)
I don't think my intake vacuum gauge was meant for the street, but I love watching it go up and down.
I don't even have a functional speedometer...RPM's, engine temp, and oil pressure is about all I care about when driving my car. Doesn't sound like a "street car" thing to me. My wife's Volvo doesn't even tell me about the oil pressure.
My point:
LOT'S of things "are not meant for the street". That is what makes them unique and part of our automotive personality.
I LOVE not having my carburetor "DECIDE" when to open the secondaries. I LOVE giving it too much fuel to choke on and having the thing tear the tires loose at 4,000 RPM.
I love it for about 1,500 miles a year.
When I'm not loving on some of that, I love driving my beater Subaru at 4 MPH over the speed limit.

You promise? It really is a waste of time having to constantly refute his baseless opinions.
Listen...I'm all about different perspectives. And there ARE some very valuable lessons to be learned from others. But that's the wrinkle, isn't it? He just...doesn't...learn. It's the same BS, time after time, username after username.

I stayed out of this for the most part.....but I can say this....
Recently I bought a QFT billet baseplate for my 750 HP as it had no vacuum lines.....after installation....it would NOT rev without a huge flat spot even in neutral......
Well after sitting there for a minute I looked at the cam on the plate and it was pink....the original from Avanti was white. Swapped them out and it was back to normal.
Squirt is a huge tuning device
....glad you figured it out by assessing what you had and being investigative about it.....that is the way to do it!
