remove seat belt

I need to unbolt the seat belt where it anchors to the outside frame. I removed the seat for access. But I cant budge the bolt. Even bent the torx socket. Is there a secret to removing this bolt? 1978.

No secret but brute force. Could wire brush and lube the theads from under the car.

Kroil

Try spraying the bolt with Kroil. Soak it every day for a week.

They get pretty corroded exposed to the road grove.

Funny but sometimes IF one applies force AS IF he wanted to tighten a froze bolt..and THEN exerts force to loosen it, it'll break free..The pros use an air impact wrench..Jim

Seat belt bolt

The seat belt bolt on my 66 stripped out. I ended up welding a nut on the bolt head. The heat from the welder and the added nut made short work of the bolt. It came out very quickly after that. Jerry
