Yes, or at very least call for help. Probably tricky legal situation, but the moral thing to do is help, of course if someone else already stopped then they were helping and that then becomes do you want to be involved, right?
I thought for sure there would be more replies suggesting to not race on the street in the first place. As for the hypothetical is concerned, I did leave the general question kinda vauge. So I guess each individual would handle his own situation as they saw fit. Perhaps I could have posted the question in the form of a poll. That way people could have responded anonomously and maybe more would have hinted they to might be hesitant to go back. Nevertheless I said what I said and understand how it may upset people. So if anyone is pissed at me I understand. My answer to my own question was not the most admirable one I conceed. For those who may have viewed this post and decided not to reply because they too might hesitate to go back, I speak for you and myself that maybe we should consider the question. Would you go back? If your answer is not an immeadiate resounding yes, then maybe we should strongly avoid street racing in the first place. Maybe somewhere, sometime, someones injury or death will be spared as a result of posts like this one. Again, sorry if I ticked anyone off. Its nice to have decent people on this forum to slap me back into shape when I need it.
On this eve of the attack on our innocent civilians and country..God Bless America.....
No question about it, I would go back.
Back in the good ol days when I was stupid enough to street race.. I was racing a guy in a Duster, we were at about 100MPH and his engine blew, I went back and helped him get his car home (had never met or seen him again) just somehow felt obligated to help. :nonod:
I would always go back and check. Of course, I always carry a "friend" and can do repeated 10's with it. The one thing I would worry about is, "is that car stolen and out for a joyride?". Car theft and joyrides are too comon is discount that as being the case. Most accidents are not caused by speed but rather the driver not paying attention (not likely during a race) or the driver not knowning what they are doing (very likely during a joyride).
