If others live their lives without any problems, it must be through the right combination of luck and skill. Both of which I sorely lack.
I get what you're saying now - the thread is about mounting an ignition box like an MSD 6A. The placement of that has no impact on spark plug wire routing as they still come from the distributor as usual.

(this section mostly for reference since I'd already typed it up before reviewing your post one more time...)
That's why I was confused. The OP's box is in front of the radiator, mounted to some of the front bumper/headlight support structure. I mounted mine there, and routed the wires along the turn signal wiring, then through a passthrough between the core support and body. From there it runs along the fender well until it gets to the brake booster, and runs along the top of the brake booster to the distributor.

My biggest concern was having a slack cord find its way into the headlight mechanism, hood hinge or rubbing itself against a sharp corner somewhere (lots of wire loom!).
(end reference section)

I assure you, though, we've all had our problems with bad luck and lack of skill. I won't get into my latest escapade, but it could have been a lot worse than singing an ignition system wire...

And as far as burnt plug wires go, I think pretty much everyone who's owned one of these cars long enough will have dealt with them at some point. I've probably been through at least a full set's worth, if not two...
