Some guys use them as a wet track tire and they do great on the track dry. So it is simply not true that a good tire is not available in 15's. Just have to pay to play. My 69 will wear them one day soon.

I searched online to find these Avon tires you speak of, and I see none available in 225/70/R15 or 255/60/R15 sizes that fit a C3 15 X 8 wheel.

They do have 245/60, and 275/55 (and 295/50) sizes.

Wish I could find some H-rated tires in 225/70 15 size like these BFG T/As that are on the vette now. They were only available in blackwall (no RWL). I bought these in 2001, so they should be replaced even tho plenty of tread remains. Mind need to buy something with a Japanese name on the tire.

Please do yourself a favor and do not continue to drive on 15 year old tires. Great looking car by the way.

Your car, wheels and tires look fabulous. I also have a 69. Any rubbing of this wheel/tire combination?
Thanks

Looks great, just as info - there is a company that makes "raised white letters". They stick in the tires and look pretty good. A few people in the wheel / tire section have them.
