As many of you have found out, having a vacuum source is handy when troubleshooting the Corvette vacuum systems.
Not easy to find, at least over here, and expensive.
So I made my own:
Had one of these cheap 12V tire pumps lying around.
Just super-glued a fitting on top of the intake opening. (be careful so you don't glue the inlet valve).
Works excellent, pulls 15inch/Hg easily.

Anybody looked under cover of "oil free" shop air compressors. Most offered today are oil free variety ... and the compressor portion looks just like the cheap tire pump ... and noisy too!
