I'm trying to get full motion of my throttle linkage, it seems to be binding up via the accelerator pump rod.
The accelerator pump rod wants to bend if I give it full motion.
When I grab the throttle linkage and give it full throttle you can feel there is resistance in the linkage which is coming from the accelerator pump rod, it begins to bend before I reach the full throttle stop point. When I disconnected the accelerator pump rod, there is no resistance from the accelerator pump rod and I get full motion without resistance.
The rod is pin straight, I've tried to bend the rod where it wants to bend to give it a little bit more free movement but I believe this is not a correct bend point. Am I wrong and should I bend to get full motion?
What would cause the linkage to bind in this area?

Incorrect accel pump installed - the accel pump is too long (too tall), or the accel pump has been assembled incorrectly so that the compression spring is not acting as it should to allow the assembly to be compressed at WOT. Pull the accel pump out and verify first that it's assembled correctly, with the spring allowing it to compress. If it is, use a hacksaw and cut 1/4" off the top of the accel pump.
