Hi c0729,
You asked about normal oil pressure readings.
The 71 Owners Manual indicates that the pressure may depend on temperature and viscosity.
It goes on to state that with a warmed up engine readings of 30 to 40 psi may be considered normal during moderate road speeds of 35 to 40 mph.
Prolonged operation at higher speeds in hot weather may lead to somewhat lower oil pressure.
Hope this helps you make sense of what you're seeing.
Regards,
Alan

No leaks, looks good. Just questioning the pressure reading before we put it all back together again.

Any thoughts?
Cold engine, pressure is 70psi on mine.
When hot at idle 30-35 psi.
