Default Identify this HEI Distributor

I'm trying to identify this HEI distributor the prior owner installed in my '73, 454. There is no part number or manufactures name stamped on the unit or the cap. Thanks in advance. No pun intended. Greg

I plan to replace it with a good unit when I go through the motor and was going to replace the cap and rotor for now. Guess I'll pull them and see if the Napa guys can match it up with something they have. Thanks!

Cap and rotor can be replaced with any regular GM HEI parts.

You can just go buy a cap and rotor for a 1979 Corvette..... but be warned it probaly won't be any better than the parts you already have... it may be the same or worse.... almost everything releated to replacement parts is imported junk these days.

That's true. I'm still researching and planning for when I tear into this motor and redo the entire car. For now I'm just driving it for short outings with the wife. Here in Nor Cal we can play on most winter days and so I'm just doing a little preventative maintenance.

Are there any issues with the ignition? Sometimes those eBay distributors are trouble free based on what I've been reading over the years.

No issues and the motor runs smooth. I just want to know what I'm running, so I'll go with a top quality name brand that will enhance the performance of my build.
