Ok, I pulled out the console. The Selector Switch for Off/AC/Def/Heater is electrical, not a mechanical cable like my Jeep. The mechanics appear to be working right. Now to track down where the far ends come out and check for power at those connections.
If you don't already, please get a hand held vacuum pump. You will be able to test 100% of the system for door movement without the engine running.
I still haven't had a chance to check coolant/heat flow, but I did find out the fuse that powers the selector switch is blown. No, not in the fuse box. Under the center console someone took the cigarette lighter, AC/Heat selector and something else and wired together. Oh yes, they used a bunch of fuses including a single 30A that all 3 wires go into and if I use the cigarette lighter ( USB Phone charger ) and the AC, it blows the fuse. So I have to find the wiring diagram somewhere to find out which of the cut wires under the center console should actually be going to which connection.
Anyone have a wiring diagram that's easily read/seen? I found an assembly manual which looks great but it doesn't give wiring colors, just "plug connector A6 into X"...
