Default mystery wire
I have been having issues with the battery drain. Installed a new (remanufactured) alternator yesterday. Turns out it is NO Good. I have a new one ordered to be here in the morning.
While troubleshooting I found this wire (red end) that comes thru the fire wall. There are 2 grommets where wires and washer hoses come thru them. This wire comes thru the one closest to drivers side. It is not shown in the AIM. Anyone know where it is suppose to go?

Model year? Black is almost always a ground, but, offhand, I can't tell what you have. That said, you don't want it touching the dip stick tube.
