Default Vacuum question help

This is the vacuum control that is mounted to the side of the brake booster housing. I did not take a picture of its location when I took it off. (Stupid). There is another one located between the horns under the front nose on my car. I have seen two up front on some diagrams as well as one. I know for a fact in my car it only had one under the nose area. So I'm assuming this one goes on the booster area. Notice it has the mount on top. I've seen on some cars that there is an additional bracket this attaches to but I don't have it . Never saw it? Was this mounted somewhere else? 69 coupe 360 with air thanks!!!

Looks like it is also mounted on the passenger fender. Far right in pic.
this is for an early 69 (mine) but curious it shows two under front hood. Mine only had 1. ?

My 69 has 2 total. One for the headlights mounted in the center between the two headlights and the washer door relay on the firewall just inboard of the brake booster. I think there was a single headlight vacuum relay until 1970 when it changed to two. Also, 1968 and early 69 had the wiper door vacuum relay by the passenger side inner fender. It was changed to the drivers side firewall mid 69 year.

Hi,
CG is right.
For 71 the wiper door relay location was moved back to the rear of the right side wheel apron and the headlight system continued to use 2 relays located between them mounted on a plate that was crewed to the headlight reinforcement bar.
Regards,
Alan

71… 1 wiper door relay on apron

71…. 2 headlight relays.

Thanks for the replies. Mines a early 69 and there is only one mounted up front between headlights. The other must go on the passenger fender well. There was no provision on mine for it to attach to my brake booster support. Thank

Hi cam,
Typically there's a plate riveted to the fiberglass apron on the wheel side of the apron that has two holes that the relay mounting screws tighten in to.
This the plate and location on a 71.
Regards,
Alan

Hi Jef,
Thanks!
You really can't make kids want to be interested in working on an old car… hopefully, if he's around it he'll 'join up'!
Regards,
Alan
