Hi,
We just moved to Cali and i brought my freshly bought 87 silver anniversary and am looking forward to working on it.
First thing is to remove the AC as there are some broken hoses and i dont need AC here. Also want some more space for a cleaner look.
Only thing that bothers me at the moment is reading up on the L82 engine....but that hopefully wont be too much trouble.
Looking forward to get advice and knowledge here
Cheers
Nave
PS Admin, if i used the wrong spot to post please tell me or move to the respective area, thx

Default You can go edit your thread to make it read 78...

....and, you may want to keep your AC... depending on where in California you moved to. Also, be aware that you're going to have to smog that thing so make sure you have all the parts.

It wasn't in the C3 section when I moved it. I'm not a moderator for the C3 section, so I couldn't have moved it from there.

It was in the INTROS section when I moved it.

I moved it to C4 because someone thought they had an 87 Vette.

Welcome to our shark tank from a fellow '78 SAE owner.

BTW, lack of L82 badges usually means an L48, the differences between which doing your homework will reveal soon enough.

Already looked it up and according to the vin it's a L82
It's the 5th digit in the vin, right? And there is the 4, not the L

Sorry, didn't mean to confuse. Within the thread are mentioned a number of additional L82 identifiers not had by the L48 that I thought you might wish to review.
