Default Need help identify openings

I have four openings in the block of my '78 L82 small block. I remember removing what I think is the coolant temp sensor from the left side but that is all I remember removing as far as sensors go. I did not take pictures of the block below the heads before I sent it to the rebuilder. Now I'm %^& clueless!

On the passenger side there is a 3/8" inch hole above and center between #1 & #3 cylinder. It appears to go to the water jacket.

There are two holes near the oil filter which are not pipe style threads. One I am sure is for the clutch z bar. The other, I guess would be for the oil pressure sensor. I don't have a sensor on the shelf and don't remember pulling one off.

On the right side, there is a 1/2" pipe thread hole between #6 & #8 cylinder.

Can anyone help me identify what should go into these openings?

Confusion. Passenger Side is 2-4-6-8 ???

So Driver side 1-3-5-7 between 1-3 is the coolant temp sensor. Picture # 1

Oil pressure sensor is just above the oil filer housing. The hole is blocked in Picture #1, the other 2 I believe are for z-bar.

I don't have a Z-BAR but I believe this is on the driver side by #5-7 just above the spark plug shield. ? the other by the oil filter housing mine was unsed (Auto)

As for the passenger side between # 6-8 I have a plug in the block. Picture # 2

Your picture with the Z-bar stud the other item is a oil pressure sensor.

The same cylinder head is used on both right and left sides of the engine, so the heads both have a tapped hole for the coolant temp sending unit. The sending unit is normally installed on the driver's side, so the same hole on the passenger side gets a pipe plug installed in it.

The two tapped holes in the block near the oil filter are both for Z-Bar ball installation - there is a forward and an aft mounting location to accommodate different chassis configurations. Vette uses the forward location.

Oil pressure sending unit is normally installed in the pipe tapped hole in the block near the distributor base on the driver's side, but can also be installed in the hole immediately above the oil filter mounting location (partially blocked from view in your photo) if that location is tapped (many blocks are not tapped for the fitting at this location).

Thanks guys, this helps a great deal. Sorry for the confusion, I did mean driver's side, but you caught that anyway.

Is that copper piece of pipe on the oil sensor supposed to be there?

Thanks
