Z06 trans swap
My old corvette was a 06C6 Z51 convertable with a 6 speed auto W/paddle shift.
I loved it! it was fun to drive. I now have an 08 Z06 with 6 speedstick but I personally think that driving a stick is like being a slave to your car.
So... I would like to drop in a 8L90 trany with paddle shift. The price of a used 8 speed is under 2 grand. cheaper than a twin disc clutch.
any and all thoughts welcomed.

Great plan! Just make sure you route it through the flux capacitor to achieve ultimate thrust. Trust me, you will feel it in your midichlorians .
Alternatively, what MelWff said could work too...
