How often do you floor it?
Im not talkin about street racing but more like when the coast is clear and theres no one to tangle with or get upset by your spirited driving. The older I get it seems the less comfortable I feel doin it because I dont want bystanders frowning on me. Nevertheless I find it hard to resist putting the hammer down for a good blast of speed when its just me and the road. I just have a bit more reserve as time goes by. I sometimes think back on my younger days and wonder how im still alive. I wish I had my own race track. That would be cool...

At least once or twice everytime I drive my Vette. I have always liked the feel of rapid acceleration and I just can't seem to stay out of the throttle for very long at a time.
My wife and I were on the way home last Saturday from Mid America's FunFest and we were on a fairly narrow 2 lane state highway following a car running about 52-53 mph - first gap in traffic I got it was to the floor and away we went around him. I run up to 85 and then just let it come back down to around 60. I just looked over at my wife with a stupid little smile on my face and " just because I can" - she just cracked up laughing at me and said she knew me well enough to know that. :yesnod:

I usually go for drives with my wife and I never really get on it. But if I'm driving by myself and no one is around, I'll nail it. But honestly it's not that often. i find myself actually driving like an old lady. I love driving a Vette and I used to think it was because they are fast, but the truth is I love driving it because it's a Vette.

Usually whenever I get the chance. There sure seems to be a lot of F-in traffic around lately :mad
But I agree that I usually like to go real slow around the lakes and stuff.
Tho I've been known to drive fast on the freeways :U

I floor it almost everytime I have it out. The WeasleVette is an automatic and will break 'em loose at 60mph shifting from 1st to 2nd. This is not an exageration. It is, however, an intense temptation. There are much worse things to be tempted with. I just try to be responsible.

Whenever I take it out. I like to hear it scream when I go out. I'm getting real close to 40 and it makes me fell like 20 again. I usually try to do it in an isolated area to not annoy to many people but not always :smash: :cheers:

waaayyy too often! ;) most of the time i get her rolling first so i don't draw too much attention with the 'screamin eagles' and roll on that gas pedal and at about 2200rpm she just comes on like a drunk girl at a frat party :cheers:

Not that often anymore. With an L48 engine, you can't tell much difference between full and part throttle :D :eek: No use in wasting extra gas for only a few more hp.
Also, there's no use in flooring it with people around. They will only wonder why the engine is reving high, but the car is still going slow:cry

I get the temptation to floor it when someone is following me too closely from behind and follows every move I do. I hate it when they do that :mad If the coast is clear I usually try to lose them :cool:

Every light.....every stop sign, every street, everyday, EVERY TIME! :D
And I love it.....always enjoyed speed. Had a Talon AWD for 2 yrs. And now the Vette is even more fun.
I do it responsibly though.....safety first.
