Sway bar width for 78 Vette
Should the front sway bar ends be the same distance apart as the link bolt holes on the lower control arm? My sway bar is one inch wider or 1/2 inch either side. I keep breaking links (4 in less than 7000 miles). Using Moog links.

I've had to bend sway bars in the middle to change the length
My 79 vb&p is spaced down 1.5 inches to work correctly

Hi b,
Welcome!
First post!
Do you know if the sway bar on your car is a stock bar or an aftermarket bar?
On earlier cars the sway bar links come out of the a-arms at an angle.
Are you seeing more angle than this?
Are you sure the sway bar is installed right side up?
Regards,
Alan
Note that this suspension has no weight on it.

A healthy sway bar should measure 38" from end to end (not on center). So I would check yours and tweak accordingly

Thanks to all of you for your help. I believe my sway bar is aftermarket since it is 1 1/8 inches thick. it measures 38" from end to end and the ends are angled as they should be. I will re-install as per your pictures (Alan) and will let you know the outcome.
