That pic shows a starter relay, but it's not factory, that's an add on.

Those are all excellent posts. I have a brand new starter and blanket ready to go but my schedule has been a nightmare lately I have not had time to change it out. I hope within the next month I will have it replaced.

That solenoid burning is the usual look for many years of use. I used to do starters for a living.

you can flip the contact washer over, you can rotate the contact terminals 180 degrees,
and you now have a rebuilt solenoid.

Repaired, but likely as good as modern rebuilds.
