The 1969-1973 emblems had 4 studs that nutted to the car, the 1974-1976 emblems had 3 guide pins and used double stick tape to attach. I just wanted to cover both with the illustration.
Ernie
I don't believe the 69-73 used nuts either. My 70 only uses adhesive.

Question:
I just ordered "Stingray" badges. My front fenders unfortunately have no holes in them. I was thinking about just, shaving off the prongs, locating the position the emblem belongs in, and using adhesive as directed above?
Yes. Had my car repainted about 18 years ago. All new emblems and side marker lights. Anyway, cut pins as you said. Stuck on with the foam double stick tape they came with. 18 years later and there still there and still look great.
