No. I have never used a wire where you could actually feel the performance difference between sets unless the wires are bad or burnt. I think the difference between well made wires using top grade materials and cheap wires is not performance but reliability and length of service.

Where do you connect the ends of the braided sleeves? I can't find a picture or any information with my search abilities....
I have an early '69 427/390 with these wires.
The factory/reproduction braided wires on big blocks actually connect to the valve cover bolts...
The Taylor wires that super charged posted for small blocks don't actually attach to anything.
They certainly look good and do provide additional protection to the wires, but unless you somehow grounded the sheathing, they don't provide much shielding for your AM radio.
