Passenger heater a/c control work?
Good evening all!
Just rebuilt the heater control for my 74. There is a cable that connects to the drivers side thumb wheel control, which is connected to the vacuum hoses. There is no such cable or vaccum hoses on the passenger dial; no cable was found under the console... how does the dial work? Or is it for show? I have a hard time believing it would be nonfunctional from the factory...

Hi 74,
The 74 AIM indicates that on a/c equipped cars the right side thumb wheel on the controller operates the hot/cold door in the air box using a manual (bowden) cable.
It's shown on Sheets 61 and 63 in UPC B1 to B12.

temperature control **** connects to cable to control the mix of hot and cold air coming from heater box.
