Default Quick caliper question

I'm replacing front drivers side brake caliper. It's been a while since I've done this. Do I need to remove flexible line at caliper or where it connects to metal line. Metal line looks a little beat up and I'd like to replace the flexible line at caliper but I can spin the connection to remove. I might be able to get the flex line off at caliper if I could move it through Suspension to rear of car but it doesn't quite fit. Can I do it this way if I move the rough looking rubber bumper that may be stopping it from moving to back of car.? Any suggestions appreciated

it's supposed to be disconnected at the metal line. The rest of your question I dont understand. If you want to disconnect it at the caliper loosen the line then remove the caliper and turn the caliper to disconnect it from the hose.

Sorry on that. Hard to describe. But I did remove the lower control arm bumper and that allowed me to move the caliper toward rear of car.n this allow the caliper to free hang and alleviate the binding in the hose.
problem self solved.

Next question easier. Before I take core back. Does this core have more value than the 30 dollars I get back? I know some calipers are more wanted for rebuild. If I'd a Delco moraine 5473495 I believe. I'd hate to send back an original something for core cost.
thanks again

What's original on your car depends on the model year.
1967 to 1972 Corvettes used the "545" series of caliper castings.
1973 to 1982 used the "547" series of caliper castings.
1965 to 1967 used "546" series.
All are interchangable.

Sounds like this one is for a 73-82 car. Mine is a 69. So I will send it back for core deposit. thanks for the info
