I'm considering removing door skins when I clean up my doors. Some of the bonding adhesive is failing anyhow. I'll be getting adhesive for fender supports and front surround in the future anyhow. Am I crazy?
I'll send pics with my ipad in a response (much simpler). You are all a great deal of help. Thank you so much--------Swanney.

I can tell you that the door skin can be somewhat easily removed by using a good salamander kerosene heater and heating up the door really good.
You can use hand held heat gun...but it gets to be a bit FUN when you go to release the skin from the top of the door and also the bonding area below it.
I have done several over the years and I use my kerosene heater and get it hot...that way...you are heating up MORE surface area than what a hand held heat gun can do...but suit yourself.
It looks like you are catching it before it gets REALLY BAD.
