I acquired a set of 12558062 vortec heads that I'm considering installing on the 71 350 that I have in my c3. When I rebuilt the 350 I installed flat tops and was wondering with these heads what kind of compression ratio I'd be looking at by using these heads. Nothing exact just ball park, Thanks Larry
I have a GM Performance 350 HO crate engine with Vortec heads in my '80. GM specs say 9.1:1.
What are you using for intake? All the info I'm seeing is that a lot of intakes won't work due to hood clearance. I'm running a 75 with an 80 front clip.

My 77 has a Performance Products Cyclone vortec intake manifold that fits with my stock air cleaner.

My 77, with Vortec heads, has an Edelbrock Air Gap manifold, 3/4 thick adapter, Qjet and a drop base air cleaner with 3 inch element under the stock hood - just barely.
Keep in ind the Vortec heads only allow for .450 lift cam(approx.). Comp Cams has a tool you can use on your drill motor and modify them at home if you want to use a high lift cam.
