I have a 69 350/350 and it is not possible to completely open the carb all the way with the pedal to the floor? Is this normal? Anyone have pics of their cable connection to the carb?
typical on C3 the gas pedal linkage gets bent, you should remove and straighten the gas pedal rod.
to prevent future bending, after straightening, make sure you get full open throttle,
with pedal bottoming on the floor, if not fully on the floor it will get bent again.
There's another place you can correct this problem if the pedal doesn't fix it. If you have the stock mounting bracket, pull back the cable in the mounting bracket that's attached to the carburetor leg and tighten it down.
I don't have the end link inserted in the carb linkage in this picture but it's the only picture I've got to illustrate this. This is a little extreme it's not currently pulled back this much. You can also loosen the bracket where it's mounted to the carb and get a little more WOT throw.
Also make sure that your throttle cable ball stud is bolted to the bottom hole in the carb linkage as it is the shortest throw for the cable. The corvette cable was not designed to work in the top hole. 69 427 below for example.

Not only is it important that the cable connector be in the proper link hole on the carb as CG indicates, it's also important that it have the proper bracket for the cable sheath mounted on the rear stud for the carburetor.
CG shows the BB Q-jet configuration, the SB Q-jet configuration appears to be the same.
It might be a good idea to check that the spring is installed correctly too.
Are you CERTAIN the carpet, padding, and what ever else is on the floor, isn't stopping the accelerator pedal?

Along with what everyone else has said, I believe 69's have a two piece throttle linkage that comes off of the gas pedal. There's a solid rod that attaches to a stamped metal rod with a keyed "D" shaped cutout. Over time the "D" shaped cutout can wear and you can get some slop at that connection point. If that is the case, you may need to replace the stamped metal rod.
Not sure how you are checking or how far your throttle is opening????
Remove the floor mat from the drivers side floor, you will need to manually hold the choke fully open and also hold open the air valve over the secondaries, then have someone push the gas pedal to the floor.
There is a one piece rod [later models] that replaces that 2 piece unit that I believe was used in earlier cars. It is a nice update!
