power Steering Control Valve ?

So my leak is from a new control valve and hose set - the old unit was shot.

The leak is from the top hose connection that goes into the control valve itself.

You can't torque them down and I'm afraid if I try to tighten it any more I'm going to strip threads.

How tight do you need to go to stop the "thread leak"????

It may be a seating issue... back off the nut some, then re-torque it... see if that makes it go away.

I just went back over all the connections .... so far so good, but will see what the floor looks like in the morning....

But seriously, I don't think I could tighten those connections any more without breaking something... I wouldn't think they would need to be THAT tight.
