Default Can use some help with questions...

Been back working on the 74 and have seemed to run into some slight problems with the heater/AC vacuum hoses. Thought I did mark the lines, but....
I have the AIM but feel it a little frustrating at times.....lol And I did check Wilcox for schematic on the hoses, but the closest I found was with the colored sheet for the 72.
Soooooo....

1-On the center actuator that would be on top of the trans tunnel that has an upper and lower port, I believe that the blue strip hose goes on the top and the red strip hose goes on the bottom...correct???
2-On the actuator that is attached to the heater box itself (on the left side of the box against the firewall), one line I broke, so I know where it came from and where it goes, but the other "L" shaped port, what color hose goes there??? Is it the tan color hose???
3-Does anyone know what the correct color the two heat shields under the firewall should be painted???

Thanks for any info or reference to the questions asked....
Appreciated.......Tom

Hi SS,
#3...If you're referring to the 2 flat metal shields that are mounted at the 'toe-boards', I believe they were finished with a manganese phosphate coating.
That would mean they were originally a dark gray color.
Regards,
Alan
