dash lights not working

dash lights not working
I just picked up a 72 convertible and I am working through a few issues. My dash lights do not work ( all other lights work fine including courtesy lights ) I have no power going to the fuse. if I am correct the power comes into the fuse block then through the fuse and then to the dash light switch. What am I missing ??

The power for the dash lights first comes from the tail light fuse then goes to the headlight switch. From there it goes back to the inst light fuse and then to the dash light bulbs.

Now i feel like a idiot was in my garage and just wiggling my headlight switch and turned it all the way counter clockwise which on every other car I ever owned would be the lowest setting and my dash lights up. Never would have thought the vette would be the opposite and I had it all the way clockwise which I thought was full bright. At least I did not start pulling everything apart yet. Thanks for the help but I am chocking this one up to user error.
