I made 300 HP and 380 ft lbs with a truck cam, stock bottom end and these heads. The right cam would dial it up a lot. They flow better than vortecs, take your stock valve covers, intake and are economical. Have 430 HP potential.

2 1/2" ramhorns and 2 1/2 free flowing dual exhaust at minimums. Headers are way better.https://www.summitracing.com/parts/s...make/chevrolet
I would upgrade to a Performer 2101 minimum, they will match up with the head ports well.
This cam should meet your needs and match the head spring rate although I hesitate to recommend anything but a roller. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/c...make/chevrolet
Use these lifters:https://www.summitracing.com/parts/c...make/chevrolet
Use these head gaskets: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/f...make/chevrolet

Or Use this kit if you want more lift. Springs fit pockets in heads. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/c...make/chevrolet
Thanks a lot. I already have a truck cam and a new timing chain. I have a new in the box 2101 on my workbench and Lars is rebuilding my Q-Jet.

This winter will be new heads and headers. I'm going to keep these on my watch list and save my pennies.

Thanks again.

Just read through the description of these heads and they have 1.92 intake valves not 2.02's?

I wonder how much of a difference that makes???

H-m-m-m-m-. The bait has been placed. The trap has been set. Que the Jeopardy theme song.

Using my secret formula involving CFM, RPMs, tire width and the like, a rough calculation would be a burnout tire marks measurement of 2.8 ft shorter.

1.94 intakes instead of 2.02. Not much difference in a 350, port velocity will be up, better a/f mixture, better throttle response at low to midrange in a 350, They will not support 500 HP but Vortecs have the same valve size and there are a ton of vortec head builds making north of 400 HP and some in 383 builds making 450.
