Default 68 telescopic noise

My 68, which I just finished a ground up restoration, has a scratchy noise coming from the column when turning. Almost sounds like loose wire ends are rubbing the inside of column on turns. Everything is working okay, so I'm baffled. Anyone had this issue? HELP! THanks!

I've had 2 things cause this. First was where the horn assembly was attacked by bubba and replaced with a spring that was scratching against the contact that is on the turn signal cancelling cam, and the second was a bad upper bearing in the top of the column that I ended up replacing.

Thanks for your reply. I obviously need to pull the wheel and hub for closer inspection.
