Default Fast ez-efi 2.0

I have been looking at the FAST EZ-EFI 2.0 Self-Tuning Fuel Injection System with the Summit HEI Distributors SUM-850001-T.

I have a matching number 1972 350/automatic vet, but the intake/carburetor has been changed out with Edelbrock items and ignition systems change to a MSD Ignition Street Fire system.

My goal is to clean up the engine compartment, end my battle with the carburetor and have a more dependable Vet.

Any recommendations or concerns

I am running this system on my 408/540 HP Cobra. So not on a Chevy but I have no complaints at all. I am using a MSD dist that I had to lock out and set up so the Fast computer will control timing. I already had all the dist stuff so I did not want to reinvest in another dist. If I was to do it over again with no dist in hand I would buy the Fast dist as it is already setup to run with the Fast computer. It is pricey but nothing else is needed. The system fired right up and within about 50 miles everything had smoothed out. Still working on a slight low speed issue but it is because I am running a pretty big cam in it.

I'm running the original tech and I will be putting the FAST conversion kit in the Distributor for the time sync.

I am running the TPI retrofit system on my RamJet 350 with a locked MSD 8572(my MSD tach drive distributor locked out with Vac Adv and tach drive removed), AND an MSD-6 box. I already had the distributor so I just locked it out and used it with the EZ-EFI 2.0. Runs better than ever (even better than the ramjet 350 MEFI-3 system).
I am also still learning to play with it - but it is quite nice.....

Another option is to switch to the 75-77 electric tach. Bolts right in and works better than the mechanical tach. Since you have a 72 the white numerals match your other gauges.

I did it on my 71 and swapped the face plate to make it match.

Over the years I've seen quite a few people having noise issues with the FAST system. People have to mess with wire routing and even wrap the distributor pickup wires in aluminum foil to make it work.

I'd be looking at the Holley Sniper system instead. Everyone seems to be having really good luck with those systems.
