Great Weekend!!!!
I picked up my '73 on Friday afternoon (new ZZ4 installed) and drove all weekend. That was the longest I have driven the car since buying it in June! I had such a blast...then yesterday afternoon I was cruising down A1A and I see a guy in a blue 68 vert coming up behind me, he pulls up next to me, gives me a thumbs up then drops it down a gear and leaves me! When I caught up with him at the next light he was all smiles (I was too!).
BTW - I have a couple of questions that maybe someone can help me with...How long until I can run my new engine a little harder (I have been babying it for about the last 100 miles)? Also, I cannot get an air cleaner to fit under my stock hood. I'm using the ZZ4 intake and a E-brock carb. any ideas?? I tried that little alien-head (triangular) looking one but it still won't close. There is about a 1" spacer between the carb and the intake but I was afraid to remove it. :confused:
