Default trailing arm grease?

Is there a grease fitting for periodic maintenance on our arms? Jus wondering cause I have an old girl that has sat for a loooong time and am about to take 'er for a spin?

Checked play/movement on rear tires when I had it up on lift and all seems swell......didn't think to look for any grease fitting at that time.

Thanks!

Nope, no grease fittings on the trailing arms. They make a tool to force grease into them, but most of the info I found made it seem like it wasn't necessary, and might do more harm than good...

the tool forces grease into the inner wheel bearing only.

Don't waste your time or money trying to regrease rear bearings. If they need grease they need to be rebuilt. The grease tool doesn't work, tapping zerks is shooting in the dark as well. Properly greased and setup rear bearings should last 80-100k miles with today greases. Abusive driving not included since applying 500+hp to them will snap them at the neck many times.

The grease used 35-50 years was not as good. I have taken apart some near mint 50 year old arms, they looked perfect- no rust, dents, abuse, smooth rotating, but the original grease was long gone and nothing left. The bearings were bare and would have locked up in time. This was from two different cars purchased from original owners and that were stored many years with little miles on them.

100%.

Attempting to 'reinvent the wheel' in this area is a pointless endeavor. I just roll my eyes at some of the stuff that I have seen that did not work.
