since the only thing i have had to do is put gas in the engine and air in the tires( OK I did put a fail proof thermostate on it) i have very little tech to post. I am the king of useless post. They are all about how much I.....sniff....love the car!!!!

What's happend to the forum?? I thought this was a great place for info on fixing your vette.Lately there a lot of off topic threads,who cares if the c5 owners don't wave or which color car gets the most women. The list goes on and on.I've seen legitimate post's and they get very few replies. I don't think this is what the originators of this forum had in mind when it was created!!! :mad :mad :mad :mad

I like this forum.I don't post much but I check-in every day to see what everyone else is doing.I really enjoy this forum and would not change anything about as it talks corvette 24 hours a day.

YOU are 100% correct!! "stupid topics" if everyone posting would ONLY use a little common sense when posting. And whoever said "there are NO stupid questions" was WRONG and must have NEVER surfed C/F, because there are STUPID questions asked here on a daily basis!! I would also bet those answering "stupid questions" with comedy do so as to quietly point out just how stupid some of these posts really are without starting a "flame war".

Personally, I'd like to see the BABES section go, only because there are only about 1 million OTHER places on the net where you can find what you're looking for.
Not to say that I don't enjoy admiring the female form, but I come to the CORVETTEforum to learn about CORVETTES and meet other people who enjoy talking about CORVETTES.
The last few days this site has been VERY, VERY slow. Who knows what it is attributable to, but I'd guess that there is a heck of a lot more traffic being generated by the numerous posts linking photos on the BABES forum than any amount of posts on the individual vette forums.
Save the bandwidth and eliminate the BABES section. All the posters do is link to other sites anyway. Not to mention everyone who replies with their own smileys, etc. By the time the thread falls off the bottom of the page, it's been viewed THOUSANDS of times with hundreds of smileys attached to the original post.
Let's keep the COREVETTEforum to CORVETTES!!
My two cents. I'm sure I'll get plenty of change.

So much of what's going on with our cars is how to keep them running and keep them in shape and how to counter the effects of years of Bubba.
I believe that most of the people who frequent C3 stay in C3 sections. We tend to be the wrench-turners of the forum, doing hard-core work ourselves. We're rebuilding engines & trannies and pulling bodies off frames. You don't see that happening in C4 & C5. To that end we most all have many things in common. We're car guys (& gals) for the most part.
We hang out here, we help each other, we come to know each other. Someone gets a classic GTO and posts here? We could shoot it over to "Other Cars", but hey, we (collectively) tend to like classic muscle. It's not a thread that's going to hang on the front page for weeks on end. People will look at it, go :cool: and move on. No harm no foul. When my daughter was born last year, I posted in here. I've been hanging around here for over 3 years and I wanted to share the news with my friends.

Over the years I posted the same question in "engine mods" & here. I got more replies here than anywhere else. I've also posted similar non-Vette questions both here & Off-topic and got more intelligent answers from the C-3 section.
If I want and honest - no BS opinion I usually post my question here.
I agree with Redvetrcr that recently there are indeed stupid questions---BUT, I apologize if I asked any. :D

OR, how about Vette babes. That's what I thought it was (supposed to be) when I first happened across it.
And it doesn't have to be lingiere pics, many ladies look very nice fully clothed.
