Scanner recommendation
Hello! Newbie here. I please need suggestions for a scanner for my 82.

there are several .but the easy one to find is at the pawn shops . the old snapon red brick.

How much more info can be viewed from a scanner vs just reading the the cel light flashes?
Just curious....

Oxy sensor voltage, throttle position voltage,egr function, a few others. That's on an 81. I am sure 82 has more.

theres a difference between a code reader and a scanner.code reader tells you the fault .a scanner can show you in real time what info the sensors are sending the computer.iac,map, rpm,tps,o2,and knock count . if you can see if the readings are out of spec ,,,,well theres your problem.

No 81.

the winaldl program is for cross-fire 1982-1984.parts of it may work for the 1981,,, don t know .

Has anyone tried an OBDI to OBDII adapter? I've got a nice OBDII cable I used with my old Audi, and it'd be nice to just have to download software and buy the adapter...
