I recall a similar article in the May '81 Hot Rod about the demise of the Small Block Chevy. The claims were that the '82 and latter Camaros and Corvettes would be equipped with either supercharged or turbo'd v6's. Well, the SBC is still alive and kicking probably thanks in part to computer controls nearly 22 years later.
I'd take those claims with the proverbial grain of salt that they deserve. The LSx program is alive and well at Chevrolet.

They will be installing a 3.6 liter V6 with 255hp in the future in the Corvette.

It isn't how many cylinders you have, it's the torque that matters. :lol:
regardless of the number of cylinder, the C6 will not have any less power then today's Viper (IMHO).
This has sparked a idea for a new thread.........
