Default [Solved] Carburetor

What would cause a motor to rev higher when the choke opens ??

1974 stroker 350 , 383, Holley 850 I think either 780 or 850

Most likely cause is that the carb is running way rich at idle. When it opens, the A/F mixture is 'better', so it picks up RPM.
